Julie Allen Bridals has been styling brides, moms, and maids in Newtown, Connecticut for over five decades. Our shop is home to a collection of over 400 bridal gowns and accessories. We specialize in a range of sizes up to 34 and are happy to customize a gown to suit your desires whether that’s with the designer or with the help of our skilled seamstresses.
Things to know before your appointment
Getting engaged is one of the most exciting times of your life and we’re so glad you’re looking to share it with us! Finding the gown of your dreams can be an overwhelming experience and that’s where we are experts!
When you arrive for your appointment, you’ll be matched up with a skilled bridal stylist who will gather information about your dress shopping journey. We encourage you to come with a few photos saved of styles you like. This serves as a great starting point for your stylist.
After that you can leave the hard work to us! Your stylist will choose gowns based on your guidance and assist you with trying the gowns on while your group is seated and provides you encouragement as you move through your appointment.

Introducing: the private bridal experience
New for 2025 - we’ve launched our private bridal experience appointments available to book in advance. These special appointments are offered on select Sunday mornings for a fee of $200. Your appointment includes:
3 hours of exclusive access to our store for only your group (up to 5 people included. More welcome for an additional fee)
A full service bridal stylist to curate styles just for you based on what you’re looking for
A selection of breakfast items and coffee
