When Should I begin dress shopping?

We recommend you start shopping for your wedding dress 9 to 12 months in advance. All of our gowns are custom ordered with production times between 5-8 months. It’s crucial to order your dress in time to have alterations done.

do i need an appointment?

Appointments are preferred to view, try on, and order all gowns. This is to ensure everyone who comes to the store receives the exceptional service and attention to detail you deserve. Appointments can be scheduled through our online booking system.

What is your appointment cancellation policy?

All bridal appointments are held by credit card guarantee at the time of booking. If you miss or cancel your appointment there is a $40 cancellation fee. If you or someone in your party is not feeling well, we’re happy to reschedule your appointment at the time of cancellation at no charge.

Private Bridal Experience appointments are non-refundable.

What is a private bridal experience appointment?

This is a new appointment style we have introduced for 2025. A Private Bridal Experience appointment is scheduled on select Sunday mornings when the store is closed. You will have exclusive access to the store with just your group for 3 hours. We provide an experienced bridal stylist to provide a full service experience while you enjoy a selection of breakfast items and coffee. The Private Bridal Experience appointment has a fee of $150 and can be scheduled here.

do you take walk-in appointments?

If we have the availability; ABSOLUTELY!

what should i bring to my appointment?

We ask that you bring a pair of shoes the heel height you plan to wear the day of your wedding. This will assist us should you choose a gown that requires custom length measurements. You will be changing in and out of gowns in your suite amongst your guests, so please let us know if you have any concerns prior to your appointment so we can make proper accommodations ahead of your visit.

How Long is my bridal appointment?

Bridal appointments are scheduled in 90 minute increments. Private Bridal Experiences scheduled on select Sunday mornings are 3 hours.

How many people can I bring to my appointment?

We do not place a limit on the amount of guests you can bring to your appointment. We suggest bringing close family members and friends and opinions you trust- too many people can create unwanted stress and be quite overwhelming. When scheduling, you’ll be asked how many people will be attending so we can have proper seating arrangements.

Can i bring champagne?

A “BYOB” approach is not permitted as it creates a legal liability - thank you in advance for understanding and honoring this policy. We are happy to make recommendations in the area for after your appointment to celebrate.

What is the price range of dresses?

Our dresses range from $1100 - $3500 with the majority between $1500 - $2200.

Do brides usually find their dress on their first appointment?

The answer is YES! Come prepared to find your dress at Julie Allen Bridals. Our stylists are amazing and navigate our inventory with ease to find your perfect dress. The majority of our brides find ‘the one’ during their first appointment so make sure you have the most important people with you.

What sizes are available to try on in-store?

Wedding gowns are ordered based off of your personal measurements compared against the size chart of the designer of your gown. Our dress samples range in size from 6 to 24.

Can my group and i look through the dresses ourselves?

Our bridal appointments are full service which means your stylist will edit our full collection of dresses for you based off of your preferences, and pull dresses for you. This shopping style has so many benefits, and makes for a very relaxing and efficient appointment while keeping our inventory in the best condition possible.

how do i find out if you have a particular gown i’m looking for?

If you’re looking for a particular dress from a designer we carry, give us a call to see if we have it in our inventory. If we do not stock it, we’ll see if we can have it shipped to our store from the designer if they have a loaner program. There is a fee for the loaner program.

If we are unable to find the dress you inquire about, we will work with you to find something in a similar style.

Do you offer custom gowns?

Some of our designers offer customization options for an additional fee. Your stylist will be happy to answer questions during your appointment.

Do you have on-site seamstresses?

We have 4 highly skilled seamstresses and dressmakers to provide alterations for your gown right in our store. Alterations are a separate fee paid directly to your seamstress. You can learn more about our alteration services here.

what size should i order if i plan to lose weight?

We usually recommend ordering the size the you are at the time of your appointment. A dress can always be taken in, but it can be more complicated to let out. We’re happy to discuss sizing during your appointment.

What is your return policy?

All items are special order and cannot be returned. All sales are final.
